Welcome to our School Council
What do we do?
Our school council are a valued and dedicated team of children from every class who take their role very seriously.
Every year two children from each year group are elected to be the school council representatives. They meet every week to discuss issues that have arisen.
The discussions are packed with ideas that are suggested by each class and then the class representatives raise these at the meeting. The aim is to make school even better for every individual.
The children were asked to describe their roles and responsibilities.
We talk about important things about what the school needs and we are the representatives for each class.”
If somebody doesn’t know what to we can help.”
If people are shy of talking to a teacher can talk to school council. A School Councillor is helpful, kind and caring.”
A person to direct you, to talk to other children, to tell new people about rules.”
Our Achievements
During the past few years the school council have helped to improve the school environment and grounds, raised money for charities and worthwhile causes, suggested fun activities during school time and also been involved in the interview process for new staff
Who can help?
We have a suggestion box for children to put in their ideas which will be discussed at the weekly meetings. Our school council members wear special badge so every child knows who they are and can approach them throughout the week with ideas and suggestions for future meetings.
