I am an experienced teacher, outdoor education specialist and walk leader with almost 20 years of experience in teaching, coaching and youth work. I worked in primary education in both the UK and overseas for 10 years. I then specialised in GPS training and education, introducing geocaching and GPS led activities in schools.
In 2016 I returned to the classroom to teach excluded young people GCSE Maths and English and I have been a private tutor for pupils between the ages of 7 and 16 for a number of years.
In 2017 I founded a Hiking Group which has received lottery backing. It’s purpose was to introduce people to walking in County Durham and beyond. Alongside the main group, we have a mams and babies group and a POM (peace of mind) group for people with mental health.
